Origin of products

Potero Standard Oy is a 100% Finnish-owned small business. Our goal is to promote and build a culture of national defense both in Finland and internationally among our allies.

All our products are designed in Finland. Our clothes are always made to order in our allied country. in Latvia, from where they are sent directly to our customers in Finland and elsewhere in Europe. This is how the products are made to order and not in bulk.

The country of origin of clothing varies by product. Below you will find more information about the most common product groups.

Hoodies (Cotton Heritage)

The hoodie fabrics (Cotton Heritage) come from Pakistan.

According to Cotton Heritage's sustainability page, their production facilities are WRAP certified and are audited regularly. According to the supplier, more efficient dyeing machines are also used in production, that use up to 7x less water than conventional manufacturing, as well as solutions for heat, water and recycling of textile materials.

Cotton Heritage also says that the mills utilize water treatment and recycling (ETP) and energy-saving systems, such as solar power and motion sensor lighting.

T-shirts (Comfort Colors)

The fabrics for the T-shirts (Comfort Colors) come from Honduras.

According to Comfort Colors' sustainability page, their Pigment Pure™ dyeing process uses approximately 3x less water, shortens process time by about 40% and reduces energy consumption (supplier's (according to the information provided by the supplier). In addition, the supplier emphasizes 100% ring-spun US cotton and that the production chain is largely managed from start to finish (from cotton to finished garment).
